Held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the state of Qatar, the 12th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) saw a massive rise in attendance during the weekend. Organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), q.media Events and Fira Barcelona at the Qatar National Convention Centre, the exhibition will conclude on Saturday. This year’s show fascinated visitors with some exclusive items unveiled for the first time in Qatar.

The Sword of Qatar by Al Bidaa made of 21-karat gold with 200 pieces of small precious stones and the Tour Eiffel timepiece of Saint Honore which is a collector’s timepiece that marks the brand’s 130th anniversary, caught the eye of the Qatari collector. Mounted on an elegant brown “croco design” leather strap, the Tour Eiffel timepiece has been manufactured in a limited series of 1,885 pieces in steel (in homage to the year the watch making house was established), offering a unique opportunity to wear on one’s wrist an exceptional symbol of France and the technological genius of Gustave Eiffel.
