Detect lab-grown diamonds with state-of-the-art technology from the diamond capital itself.

HRD Antwerp celebrates the launch of its latest hi-tech detection equipment: the D-Tect. This innovative tool was specifically developed as a smart solution to counter the rising threat of unwittingly buying synthetic diamonds (HPHT & CVD) or simulants. After the grand premier at the exclusive Carat+ diamond fair beginning of May, the sophisticated D-Tect is now available for order.

Entrusting your stones to a professional grading lab is one way to ensure your parcel of natural diamonds is not contaminated by synthetic specimens. But when it comes to large amounts of melee diamonds, investing in your own screening equipment is far more advantageous. To that end, HRD Antwerp commercialized the D-tect device developed by GGTL, the Swiss independent gemological institution. This state-of-the-art detection tool complements the superfast M-Screen+ device, making it possible to unveil the true nature of a diamond at a staggering speed and indisputable precision.

The D-Tect is a truly pioneering piece of equipment, using a UV Luminescence sensor combined with photoluminescence spectroscopy. This detection device is suited for both mounted or loose diamonds (D-to-Z) of all sizes and shapes. All referred stones that required further testing after being screened by the M-Screen+, or any other screening device, can be examined using the D-Tect. The results provided deliver a definitive evaluation concerning the nature of your stones, whether natural, laboratory grown diamonds or simulants.
