APRIL SEES THE RETURN OF OROAREZZO, THE INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE OF THE BEST OF MADE IN ITALY JEWELLERY, ORGANIZED BY ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP

Over 500 exhibiting brands and more than 500 international buyers from 18th to 21st April The Expo Centre spotlights are on the 41st edition of OA

Italy is the global reference point for quality jewellery production, design excellence and manufacturing elegance. A supremacy that makes OROAREZZO a much-awaited event for buyers and traders from all over the world: the 41st edition will be staged from 18th to 21st April in the Arezzo Fiere e Congressi halls and will be attended by the sector’s top companies.

Italian goldsmiths’ technical know-how and capacity for innovation are the added value expressed by the top-quality entrepreneurial enterprises taking part in the Show from all the districts on the Italian peninsula: Arezzo, with 50% of the exhibitors, Vicenza with about 30% as well as those from Torre del Greco, Florence and Milan.

In the heart of the Tuscan gold district, the largest in Europe in terms of the number of companies and export volumes, the four days of OA 2020 will be carried out under the banner of Italian Exhibition Group. In fact, the Rimini-based trade show and congress organizer officially acquired Oroarezzo and GoldItaly at the end of 2019 (after already managing the shows for three years) and, besides organizing events at Vicenzaoro, it also sets the calendar for the sector’s main Italian appointments and accompanies Italian companies to international events overseas.

Oroarezzo 2020 will present a valid business matching opportunity between the over 500 exhibiting brands and just as many international buyers from over 90 different countries, with a significant increase in foreign traders registered at the last few editions.

Supporting the show’s visibility on the world markets is the solid partnership with MAECI – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – and ICE – Agency for the promotion and internationalization of Italian companies abroad.

There will be three exhibition areas, expressions of the values that have given, and continue to give, shape to the show: creativity, innovation and technology, represented by the hashtag #artofmanufacturing.

The centrepiece of OA 2020 in terms of size and number of exhibitors, will be the area dedicated to Jewellery which will feature the highest expression of jewellery production with extraordinary design and breath-taking creative energy as well as the essential elements that make up jewellery items: semi-processed components, clasps and mountings for artisan workshops and manufacturing companies.

The Cash&Carry area, however, will allow both Italian and foreign companies to sell their own ready-made creations in a dynamic space specifically for national and international retailers whose buyers will be able to select and purchase a wide variety of products to replenish their spring and summer stocks.

Our country is also the top producer of machinery and technology for processing jewellery. This absolute supremacy will be represented at Oroarezzo Tech, the showcase that, in a two thousand square-metre area, and thanks to the partnership with AFEMO (Italian Association of Jewellery Machinery Manufacturers and Exporters), will be exhibiting the innovative processing of 70 of the sector’s top companies.

OA 2020 will also be a strategic platform for developing our jewellery companies’ competitiveness on the international scene: the proposals programmed include a focus, in collaboration with category associations, on production process quality control that will take a closer look at the procedures and best practices linked to supply chain auditing. The aim is to support the specific technical skills of producers regarding procedures that foreign importers are increasingly demanding.

The theme of innovation will be explored by the Start Up & Carats project: after its successful launch at Vicenzaoro January last month, the project will be docking at Oroarezzo to activate further synergies between industry and the most dynamic start-ups.

And, once again at the Show, the Premiere Competition which, for over 30 years, has been spotlighting the technical skills, the drive for innovation and the quality of Made in Italy jewellery production, involving exhibitors by inviting them to interpret a theme to be assessed by a select jury presided over by Beppe Angiolini, Honorary President of the National Chamber of Fashion Buyers and Art Director at Oroarezzo and Gold/Italy.

OA 2020 will be staged for the forty-first time within the splendid city of Arezzo, in the running for Capital of Culture 2021, a city able to involve international companies and visitors in a series of fascinating cultural tours and entertainment possibilities that will enrich the Show experience and provide networking opportunities in an Off Show brimming with events.
