METS 2015:

Making A Mark in the World of Technology & Machine tool industry

METS (Machinery, Equipment, Technology, Supplies for Jewellery & Watch Industry) will launch its 2nd edition from 25 to 28 June 2015 at Star Hall, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (KITEC), Hong Kong. METS 2015 is poised to generate brisk traffic and sales with the easily accessible venue, expanded exhibit profiles, refined visitors’ programmes and the comprehensive marketing initiative. Organised by HKJJA Exhibition Services Limited, the exhibition arm of Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA), METS 2015 has deliberately chosen to be held at a key commercial centre. From the postshow survey, there is a general consensus that the remote venue for METS 2014 deterred visitors.

KITEC is strategically located at the prime commercial area in Kowloon Bay where offers convenient transportation and better ancillary facilities. I’m confident in drawing in more visitors this time, according to the organiser.

Apart from advanced jewellery and watch making equipment, tools and supplies, METS 2015 optimises product diversity with a wide spectrum of raw materials including sought-after coloured gemstones and loose pearls. The scope of exhibits encompasses the entire jewellery and watch production process, from state - of - the - art machinery, equipment and devices for mould-making, casting, stone-setting, polishing, finishing, assembling, quality control and packaging, to advanced production technology, rapid prototyping solutions, CAD software, laboratory equipment and supplies, precious metal processing apparatus, metal assaying devices, production management systems, security services, as well as an exhaustive selection of parts, tools, materials, and other supplies that competitive jewellery and watch fabrication needs. Raw materials, especially rare gemstones and quality loose pearls, are among the new highlights. Country representation at METS 2015 keeps on growing. The surging number of exhibitors from Switzerland and Eurasian Countries may produce more national pavilions.

Leveraging HKJJA’s 50th anniversary in 2015, METS 2015 is set to benefit from the joint-event multic hannel promotion campaigns worldwide. The organiser believes that HKJJA’s global influence guarantees METS 2015 a huge publicity and a good presence of industry leaders.
