The ring will be the theme of Premiere competition.
Large space to the Tech area dedicated to the most technological processing systems
with important incoming activities in collaboration with ICE Meccanica and AFEMO

Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. (IEG) launches the next edition of OROAREZZO (6-9 April 2019), the event that internationally enhances the best of Made in Italy gold production, which this year reaches the important milestone of its 40th anniversary.

The event in 2019 anticipates and changes dates, from April 6th to 9th at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, to better harmonize the trade shows calendar in the goldsmith sector and to avoid overlapping with religious holidays (Easter, Jewish holidays and Ramadan) in order to facilitate the presence of exhibitors and buyers from target markets for the Italian goldsmithing district.

With exhibitors representing some of the productive excellences of the main Italian goldsmithing districts, OROAREZZO offers its customers know-how and experience in the markets and distribution, as well as the direct knowledge of all the major global operators in the sector with over 450 hosted buyers, 80% of which international, operators of emerging and traditional markets, coming from 60 countries thanks to the support of MISE (The Italian Ministry of Economic Development) and Agenzia ICE (Italian Trade Agency).

An important event for the sector that develops through exhibition itineraries dedicated to goldsmithing, jewelry, silver, semi-finished products and stones that welcome some of the best Italian manufacturing companies. The show also includes dedicated areas such as Cash & Carry, a dynamic and innovative space that offers opportunities for companies to sell on the ready or the Tech area, which will occupy an entire hall, dedicated to the most technological processing systems.

This year, IEG will also, for the first time, organize, together with ICE Meccanica and AFEMO (Gold Jewelers Exporters Manufacturers Association) an incoming program dedicated to the countries that are most technology demanding, such as Indonesia, Algeria, Morocco and Malaysia with the involvement of 30 companies.

Like every year the protagonist of OROAREZZO will be the award ceremony of the Premiere Competition, now in its 29th edition: the contest that focuses the spotlight on new trends, creativity and innovation of Made in Italy jewelry, offering exhibitors a new challenge for each edition.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary, this year, the PREMIERE contest chooses the ring as its main theme: the most beloved jewel, perhaps the most ancient and solemn, full of symbolic meanings and style. Timeless jewelry and style icons, which are continually reinvented to express the personality of the wearer.

In each new edition, the participating companies are asked to create a piece that expresses the maximum of creativity in line with the company style, a creation inspired by traditional shapes reinterpreted in unconventional ways, with maximum freedom in the choice of materials and workmanship.

As usual, the jewels, which will be exhibited during the period of the trade show, will then be judged by a selected jury, comprised of operators and experts in the field of jewelry, fashion, press and communication, chaired by Beppe Angiolini, Honorary President of the National Chamber of Buyers of Fashion and Art Director of OROAREZZO and Gold / Italy.
