From 15 – 18 August 2019, over 100 gold jewellery manufacturers and machines supplier were assembled at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang, Malaysia for The Only Gold Exhibition within Southeast Asia – Penang Signature Gold Fair (PSG) 2019! With the collaboration with Province Wellesley Gold & Silver Ornament Merchants Association as PSG’s co-organizer, The Organizer – Elite Expo SdnBhd successfully brought together the local and international gold manufacturers and buyers under a rooftop, meanwhile providing golden opportunities for industry players to establish Malaysia as a vital gold trading hub for gold jewellery export across the globe.

In conjunction with the Hosted Buyers Program, a programme that conducted by The Organizer where over 17 nations gold trade buyers were offered complimentary 4-star hotel stay and business matching service during their visitation to PSG 2019. PSG 2019 has successfully attracted more than 100 international delegates groups and companies from Bahrain, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Dubai, India, Japan, New Zealand, Nepal, Saudi Arab, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, Iran, Philippines etcto establish solid networking connections and business deals with PSG’s exhibitors.

PSG 2019 Highlighted Events

In PSG Glamorous Opening Ceremony, a gold jewellery trade fashion show was inaugurated by flaunting the best gold jewellery products of exhibitors. This trade fashion show advertised the most commendable pieces of gold jewellery, and traders were well-experience the live showcase of jewellery and fully immersed in the beauty of gold jewellery. Besides, this glamorous opening ceremony of PSG was officiated by Penang Chief Minister - Yang AmatBerhormat Tuan Chow KonYeow, witnessed by Mr Johnson Lim, CEO of Elite Expo SdnBhd, Mr Tan GengSeng, President of Province Wellesley Gold & Silver Ornament Merchants Association, Dato’ NarenasagaranThangaveloo, Chief Police Officer of Penang, DatukZulkefliHj Sharif, CEO of MyCeb, Tan Sri Datuk Ng Teck Fong, Adviser of FGJAM, Mr Steven Siow, President of FGJAM and others on 15 August 2019.

Mr Johnson Lim, CEO of Elite Expo SdnBhd announced thenew milestone of this year PSG, where the organizer managed to change the location from Straits Quay Convention Centre to Setia SPICE Convention Centre. It is indeed a huge deal and a positive progression in 4 years, as this means that there are more traders and buyers coming in this year. Furthermore, Mr Johnson said PSG has entered its fourth edition and Malaysia is the fourth country to organize an international gold jewellery exhibition after India, Italy, Australia and China. This only gold jewellery trading platform within Southeast Asia attracts thousands of gold industry trade buyers to visit yearly.

In addition, another exclusive event was held on the second day of the exhibition which is PSG International Gold Summit; where worldwide presidents of respective Goldsmith Associations includingThailand, Nepal, Taiwan, Saudi Arab, India, Malaysia, Iran and Philippine were presented to discuss and share the matters on gold jewellery export, import, security as well as taxation. Besides, gold manufacturers also took this opportunity to have a better understanding of the global gold market.

Moreover, therewas a ‘Prestigious Thousand Person Feast’ organized by Elite Expo and P.W Gold and Silver Ornaments Merchant Association, inviting all the gold manufacturers, international trade buyers and industry players to celebrate the 57th anniversary of P.W Gold and Silver Ornaments Merchant Association, and also provided a networking platform to all invited guests. All international gold traders had a productive face-to-face appointment with Malaysia gold manufactures in order to explore exponential investment opportunities and unlimited business networking. Penang State Executive Council for Youth and Sports, YB Soon Lip Chee was also invited to attend the dinner. Furthermore, series of astonishing performances were presented during the dinner, the most long-awaited and excited in Penang- mirror danceperformance had set off a wave of climax of the night !
