THE ENCOUNTER BETWEEN SUPPLY AND DEMAND BOOSTED AT GOLD/ITALY 2019: IEG'S BUSINESS ACCELERATING FORMAT

Made in Italy jewellery played the leading role at the international Business Workshop organized by Italian Exhibition Group at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi. Thanks to IEG's digital matching platform, the ability to attract buyers from key jewellery export markets and favour quality contacts with potential new customers was confirmed.

The 7th edition of GOLD/ITALY 2019 came to a close today after three days dedicated to Made in Italy jewellery organized by Italian Exhibition Group at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi.

Strategically positioned in the autumn period of the gold and jewellery event calendar, GOLD/ITALY confirms its role as an event able to attract important international buyer delegations, particularly wholesalers and large retail chain stores from the United States. Also in attendance buyers from the Middle East - despite the area's difficult geopolitical situation - Japan and East Europe. All the foreign markets that most appreciate Italian manufacture and on which the most relevant share of Italian jewellery exports from the historical gold districts of Arezzo, Vicenza, Valenza, Torre del Greco and Milan, represented by about 200 exhibiting companies.

Both exhibitors and professional traders – 200 guest buyers – complimented the increasingly more business aspect of the show. Since last year, the exhibition has been flanked by targeted matching thanks to a careful segmentation of the goods on display and accurate buyer profiling. In fact, over 700 business encounters were pre-arranged in the weeks prior to the show by means of the digital platform implemented and managed by IEG to help exhibitors organize their business agendas and schedule direct relations with the buyers deemed most interesting in terms of dimension, product type and distribution. A business accelerator that favours quality contact with potential new customers.

Positive feedback for the Cash&Carry service too which mainly targeted Italian and European retailers interested in the latest pre-Christmas purchases with which to complete their store windows in view of the coming end of year festivities.

Buyers and companies also appreciated the show being positioned in late October: since IEG is the sole organizer of events dedicated to the gold, silver and jewellery sector, it is now possible to coordinate the annual show calendar in regard to business, thus meeting the needs of companies and foreign buyers.

IEG's Jewellery Agenda continues with the following coming international events: VOD – International Jewellery Show a DUBAI (13th – 16th November 2019) and Vicenzaoro January (17th – 22nd January 2020), the first appointment of the year held at IEG's Exhibition Centre in Vicenza where a new entry, VO Vintage, has also been added, an event specifically for high-range vintage watches and jewellery, open to collectors and enthusiasts (18th – 20th January, alongside Vicenzaoro January).
