DUBAI DIAMOND CONFERENCE 2017
Shaping the future of an interconnected marketplace

DMCC LAUNCHES SMARTPHONE APP TO CONNECT DIAMOND CONFERENCE DELEGATES

The Dubai Diamond Exchange (‘DDE’), a DMCC ('Dubai Multi Commodities Centre') platform, recently announced the launch of a specially developed App for its biennial two-day Dubai Diamond Conference 2017 ('DDC 2017').

For the first time, DMCC has developed a dedicated smartphone app for this event, which will help delegates connect prior to the conference, keep up to date with the agenda and speakers, and allow them to schedule meetings with fellow attendees. They will also be able to follow event-related social media activity, view and share photos and message each other directly through the app. Users of the app will also be able to Engage with live Q&A and Polls during sessions at the conference.

Peter Meeus, Chairman, Dubai Diamond Exchange, said: "We recognise that the diamond trade is a truly global marketplace spanning many time zone and geographies. We have therefore developed the DDE 2017 App to help 350+ conference delegates and speakers better connect and interact prior to and during the Dubai Diamond Conference in October”.

The Dubai Diamond Conference app is available to download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. http://apple.co/2xMHmo3 and https://hubs.ly/H08M74t0.

The conference takes place in Dubai's Almas Tower, the home of the Dubai Diamond Exchange, on October 16-17, and will bring together international leaders of the diamond industry ranging from African Ministers to traders, financiers and world-renowned jewellers. It will enable companies and governments in producing and consuming countries to build relationships and highlight the pivotal role that Dubai plays in the global diamond trade.
