Dubai Women’s Association receives support from Pure Gold Group for mass wedding 100 new Muslim couples to wed at the mass wedding event in Dubai

Firoz Merchant, philanthropist and Founder & Chairman of Pure Gold Group, announced his support of a mass wedding event for new Muslims organized by Dubai Women’s Association, under the patronage of her Highness Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. The event will be held in the presence of the Philippines and Algerian consuls and a number of charity sponsors.
This is the fifth edition of the annual event organized for new Muslims of various nationalities. The mass wedding ceremony will take place on 18th May at the Association’s Emirates Hall and Al Nahda Hall. According to Merchant, “Mass wedding ceremonies are in line with the nation’s drive to regulate wedding extravagances, and promote the principle of social solidarity which reflects positively on individuals. I wholeheartedly support this initiative that sets an example for others to adhere to simplicity in life as endorsed in Islamic teachings.” Dr. Fatima Mohammed Saeed Al Falasi, General Director of Dubai Women’s Association, said, “We are delighted to receive support from Pure Gold Group for this social initiative which helps young couples to embark on a journey of marital bliss without incurring any debts of a private wedding ceremony.” |
