International Diamond Week unites traders from Antwerp, Mumbai, New York and Ramat Gan

During the first week of upcoming September, the trading floor of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) will witness a unique phenomenon: members of diamond bourses from the world's four leading diamond centers - Antwerp, Mumbai, New York and Ramat Gan - will be trading together during the Summer Edition of the International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI). "Luckily, we have the world's largest diamond trading floor, a space that easily can accommodate more than a thousand diamond traders and buyers who will be frequenting the floor during the week," said Moti Fluk, IDE Treasurer and head of the IDWI Organizing Committee.

Fluk noted that the IDE had sent out invitations to the 30 bourses affiliated to the World Federation of Diamond Bourses to encourage the members of each and every diamond exchange to attend this unique 'inter-bourse' diamond trading and buying event in Israel.

"We're very pleased that for the first time during the upcoming Summer edition, a delegation of members of the Bharat Diamond Bourse will be joining us. With the IDWI in its third year, we've been expanding its reach and fine-tuning the event as an absolute one-stop-station for diamond buyers to find anything they need to stock up on diamonds," IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer said. He noted that registration to the (IDWI) (August 31 - September 4, 2015) is open and that registered and confirmed buyers will be offered three free nights in the IDWI venue hotel.

The International Diamond Week in Israel is organized by the Israel Diamond Exchange, in close cooperation with the Diamond Dealers Club of New York (DDC), the Antwerp Diamond Bourse (Beurs voor Diamanthandel), and now also the Bharat Diamond Bourse. These exchanges will be represented by delegations of their members on the IDE trading floor in August.
