There are a number of local as well as multinational educational institutions that are working towards churning out highest calibre designers for the gems and jewellery sector. Leading organisations, World Gold Council, trade bodies and associations have recognised the value of the Design segment in the jewellery by appreciating their good work through awards and accolades. Retailers and manufacturers too have utilised the services of Jewellery designers as a transition towards theme based and value based jewellery range.

The New Jeweller group in its 12th year as a dedicated publishing and Media house for the GCC region, are interacting with the Gems and Jewellery trade members, Designers, Educational institutions, and Ministries and have been compiling critical reports pertaining to the region and been a part of the progress of the gems and jewellery sector in the said economies. For the first time, The New Jeweller Group wishes to unleash the second edition of Middle East Jewellery Designers' Forum 2018 in the month of November under the aegis of VOD show.

Eminent Industry speakers would be present to present, debate and talk on various subjects concerning the changing and future trend pertaining to the Middle Eastern gem and jewellery sector. Educationists would be showcasing the importance of design courses and the value that education would have for students deciding to enter the Gem and Jewellery sector. This is a "not to be missed event" that will be organised during the VOD Dubai Jewellery show on the 15th of November 2018. After the success of the first edition, The New Jeweller International Media Group has launched the second edition in Dubai involving important Institutions and Governmental bodies only to make the "Middle East Jewellery Designers' Forum" a larger canvass.
