As spoken to the New Jeweller Bureau Tell us something about the new OCEC and its advantages as the preferred venue for hosting exhibitions here?

The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre is a worldclass venue designed to host different type of events and meet the demands of the most discerning event organisers. One of the key advantages of hosting an event in OCEC is the flexibility our venue offers. We have over 55 meeting spaces to host multiple events at the same time and deliver the highest quality of service. When it comes to MIJEX, we are expecting a large influx of visitors attending the show given its history and growth over the years. MIJEX is one of the shows we are eager to see it grow and it needs to be in a venue that offers flexibility in space.

In addition, jewellery shows require a high level of security. OCEC offers the best in class security services with 24 hour surveillance throughout the show.

Finally, we have to also keep in mind the accommodation of the international exhibitors who are exhibiting at the Exhibition. We are fortunate that The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre is located in its own fully integrated precinct only four kilometres from the new Muscat International Airport and with all the i nfrastructure necessary to host successful international, regional and local events. The precinct includes a JW Marriott Hotel (five star) linked to the Convention Centre opening in the near future and an already open Crowne Plaza OCEC (four star) which makes 600 rooms already on site with another 2 hotels to come.
