National Diamond trading Company of Angola Is a state owned company stablished by the Presidential Decree n. 153/17 of July 4th to organize and supervise the trading of rough and polished diamonds in Angola.

The company proceeded SODIAM, SA which was an ENDIAMA EP subsidiary created in 1999.

Objectives
With transformation of SODIAM into Public Entity, the company has as objectives the following:

• Acquisition of diamonds directly from the source, as a marketing channel for all rough

• Diamond production in Angola

• Creation of diamond reserves

• Guarantee of strategic stocks and prevention of fluctuations in the international market

• Definition of guidelines for the National Strategy for polishing and Jewelry

• Maximize the value created in the trading of diamonds

• Contribute to the sustainable development of the value chain

• Stimulate beneficiation activities in Angola

• Improve the image of the Angolan diamond.

Subsidiaries/Filial

Angola Polishing Diamond (APD) - Sodiam’s position in Angola has also been strengthened with the direct involvement in the consortium that established the (APD), responsible for the creation of the first diamond polishing factory in Angola.

Currently, the factory has a total of 217 employees, and cuts a volume of 2,500 carats monthly and aims to reach 5,000 by the end of second half of 2017.

SODIAM Antwerp - The creation of this filial company is in line with SODIAM's strategic vision of joining leading players in the industry in order to maximize profits in a differentiated marketing process (cut off rather than run of mine). In this context, SODIAM Antwerp markets a monthly average of 5,000 carats corresponding to a value of US $ 1,100,000 with a gross margin of around 35%.
