The Singapore Diamond Mint Company ("SDM") recently announced the launch of the Diamond Bullion™, a revolutionary new investment product enabling investment in diamonds as an asset class by providing standardised, liquid, transparently-priced and exchange-listed trading.

Diamond Bullion is a credit card-sized package of investment-grade diamonds in a tamper-resistant sintered zirconia case, which may be absolutely authenticated using a multi-factor optical signature system with a secure mobile application.

In addition, patented ion implantation technology from De Beers Group's International Institute for Diamond Grading and Research (IIDGR) assures that every diamond sealed in the Bullion is authentic and meets all exchange standards.

Fungible and tradeable, Diamond Bullion will be listed on the SDiX, the world's first fully electronic exchange for trading investment-grade diamonds.

Investors will be able to obtain real-time pricing data via the SDiX website or via the SDM mobile app.The app will also provide a range of tools from Diamond Bullion authentication, to trading functionality and other data services.

Trades are recorded in the SDiX Electronic Central Depository, and digital ledger services will be available via blockchain in the future.
