Joyalukkas Creates 16.5 Kg Gold Jhumkas in Dubai, Secures Two Guinness World Records

Joyalukkas Gold Jhumkas Guinness Records

Dubai's jewellery industry has witnessed a remarkable feat of craftsmanship, with Joyalukkas Jewellery creating a pair of 22-carat gold jhumkas weighing an astonishing 16.514 kg, earning two Guinness World Records for the world's heaviest and largest pair of gold earrings.

Measuring 1.215 metres in length and 0.682 metres in diameter, the extraordinary creation celebrates traditional Indian jewellery artistry on an unprecedented scale.

The record-breaking jhumkas were handcrafted by a team of 55 skilled artisans who collectively invested 5,840 hours over several months to bring the intricate design to life. Inspired by traditional Indian bell-shaped jhumkas, the earrings feature elaborate gold latticework, peacock motifs, coloured gemstones and cascading strands of pearl and gold droplets.

The achievement for the heaviest pair of gold earrings was officially recognised on October 12, 2026, while the spectacular creation was unveiled to the public on October 24, 2026.

A New Landmark for Dubai's Jewellery Industry

Beyond the records, the creation highlights the depth of traditional Indian craftsmanship and the technical capabilities of contemporary jewellery manufacturing. It also reinforces Dubai's position as a global destination for extraordinary jewellery creations and gold artistry.

The monumental pair is now on permanent public display at the Jewel of Joy by Joyalukkas showroom in Dubai Gold District. Visitors can view the creation daily between 10 AM and 10 PM, with free entry.

The achievement brings together heritage, craftsmanship and scale, turning an iconic Indian jewellery form into a global record-setting masterpiece.
