International Institute of Gemology (IIG) has introduced Diamond Fundamentals, a learning resource that uses storytelling to simplify diamond education. Authored by Rahul Desai, CEO and MD of IIG, the book revisits diamond basics from a learner’s point of view, turning complex concepts into clear, memorable narratives.

The launch took place at Hari Krishna Exports in Icchapore, supported by the Dholakia family. A foreword by Padma Shri Savji Dholakia underscores the growing value of narrative learning in an information-heavy world.

Available in print and audio, Diamond Fundamentals will soon expand into a podcast series and self-paced course. The resource aims to strengthen product knowledge across the industry through accessible, story-led teaching.
