International Diamond Laboratory (IDL), Dubai, a leading provider of jewels grading and reporting services in the region, today announced a change in ownership. Mr. Peter Meeus, the founder and owner of IDL Dubai, has transitioned ownership to Mr. Shaunak Shastree and Mr. Francesco Natale, effective immediately .

“It has been an honor to have been involved with IDL Dubai since its inception in 2006 and contribute to the thriving precious jewels community in this region which has undergone tremendous changes with Dubai’s exponential growth,” said Mr. Peter Meeus. “I am happy to pass the baton to Shaunak and Francesco, who both with their extensive experience and passion for the industry, will successfully steer IDL into an even brighter future. Mr. Shaunak Shastree and Mr. Francesco Natale bring a wealth of experience and expertise of over 35 years each to IDL Dubai. While Francesco has been the Chief Gemologist and Lab Director at IDL since the past 16 years, Shaunak has worked in senior leadership positions with some of the most reputed organizations in the precious jewels industry. They are both highly respected professionals, possessing a deep industry understanding and a shared vision for the future of jewels research & reporting.
